We build divine gardens and resilient landscapes in service to our community and a shared future. We were founded in 2018 as an ecology first firm, which means we center the relationships between humans, our environment and all other living organisms in our designs and operations.

    Design

    Our Temenos offers thoughtful garden and landscape design through an ecological lens. Our practice leans toward native and naturalistic plantings, but also accommodates formal aesthetic where necessary. We prioritize permeable hardscaping to manage storm water, biodegradable materials that are renewable, upcycling where possible, and consider the life-cycle cost for clients, workers and the environment every step of the way.

    Our Temenos gardens and landscapes are installed by green economy professionals, which is not industry standard. The difference this makes in the success of our gardens is palpable. Our Temenos also extends our philosophy of sustainability and responsible stewardship to our woodwork and hardscape offerings. We offer fences, planters and patios that are designed and built with local materials and the most sustainable options available.

    Ditch the gas blowers! Are you tired of the fumes? Of seeing the garden hacked to bits in an effort to clean and preen the grounds of your business, co-op or public institution? Our Temenos offers garden and grounds maintenance executed by horticulture professionals. Our landscape management plans are always chemical free for the health of the our clients, our staff and the planet.

How We Work

For DESIGN/BUILD services please email us to book a free consultation. A Project Manager will visit the site and get specific on the scope of work, your goals and your budget.

For garden clean up or maintenance services, email us photos and an accurate description of site conditions. We will verify the scope of work before sending the appropriate sized crew. Clients and our site lead will sign an estimate agreement prepared on-site the day of service to confirm the site conditions were adequately represented digitally.
